The company said in a statement that the share of diesel cars in the world is only 15 percent, while hybrid cars share 50 percent and petrol cars share 35 percent. These figures are enough to stop the production of diesel engine cars.
Now Porsche's full focus will be on electric and hybrid cars. There are speculations that Porsche can launch its first electric car by 2019
Speaking of the Indian car market, the Porsche Panamera 4E Hybrid is already for sale. By 2019, the company can also launch the Qyn Hybrid. There are speculations that the company can also pick up electric cars in India. However, due to lack of charging infrastructure, there is little scope for it.
